Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes and applies to the information that Applied may collect through your use of Applied’s MobileInsured mobile application (the “App”) that Applied develops and hosts on behalf of, and pursuant to an agreement with, the named insurance agency, broker or brokerage providing you access to the App (the “App Customer”). 

This Privacy Policy covers our entire group of entities worldwide, including Applied Systems, Inc., in the United States of America, headquartered at 200 Applied Parkway, University Park, Illinois, 60484, and its subsidiaries: Applied Systems Canada, Inc., in Canada, with an office at 6865 Century Avenue, Suite 3000, Mississauga, Ontario, L5N 2E2; Applied Systems Europe Limited (registered in England and Wales under number 03764705, with its registered office at 5th Floor Invicta House, Trafalgar Place, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 4FR, and ICO registration number Z9807198), trading as Applied Systems UK; and ASE Software Ireland Limited (registered in the Republic of Ireland under number 350292, with its registered office at Unit 26, Block 3, Northwood Court, Santry, Dublin 9), trading as Applied Systems Ireland. 

As used herein, “Applied” (or “we”/“us”/“our”) means the local group entity for which the App Customer has an agreement in place with for the provision of the App to the App Customer.

Information collected/transmitted on behalf of the App Customer:  You may provide, and we may transmit, personal information or other data through the App if you are an insured, customer or client of, or otherwise have been provided access to the App by, the App Customer. The information you provide, and that we may transmit, may include your (and your insurance beneficiaries or additional insureds) name, address, e-mail address, phone number, personal description, and other insurance-related information pertaining to your relationship with the App Customer (for example, insurance policy and claims data). In furtherance of your relationship with the App Customer, the App may also access your mobile device’s camera and document storage (for example, to record and submit photos from your mobile device concerning insurance claims, or to store and retrieve your insurance policy ID cards), or your mobile device’s phone, texting, or email capabilities in order to contact the App Customer through the App.

–          How Is This Information Used?

This information is used for purposes of our provision of the App for and on behalf of the App Customer. This is done at the direction of the App Customer for purposes of, and pursuant to, your relationship with the App Customer.

–          With Whom Is This Information Shared?

This information will be transferred to, and under the control of, the App Customer.

Information we collect about your use of the App:  With regard to each of your visits to the App, we may automatically collect the following data: Technical information, including the network used to connect your mobile device to the Internet, your login information used for access to the App, and your mobile device versions, operating system and platform; and, other statistical and analytical information about your visit, including the date and time of access to the App and your navigation within the App (such as pages within the App you viewed or searched for, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse between pages within the App). In order to collect this data, we may use cookie or similar technology on the App. This involves a small piece of information being sent by us and stored on your mobile device. This information may be used by the App Customer for their own purposes. This information may also be used by Applied in accordance with Applied’s Privacy Statement, found here:  https://www1.appliedsystems.com/en-uk/privacy-policy/.

Although our own use and disclosure of information will be in compliance with this Privacy Policy, we do not take responsibility for the privacy practices or other actions or inactions of our App Customers.
